Re: [hylafax-users] Compiling Hylafax 4.1.2 on Tru64 5.1
Hi,
Well I eventually gave up getting Hylafax 4.1.2 (or CVS) to compile with
GCC, and got hold of a copy of Compaq's C++ compiler instead (CXX).
This compiled successfully with the following tweaks.
In the configure script make sure any references to dec-osf-4 are changed
to dec-osf-5, this should be fixed in the CVS version.
Secondly port.h has 3 prototypes that are not required after you have
configured. These need to be deleted.
Look in the port.h file and if present delete any prototypes for
connect(), getsockopt(), setsockopt().
I'm guessing it may be possible to tweak configure to deal with the
second issue, but I wasn't entirely sure what needed doing...

Hi,
I've managed to get a step further with assistance from the Tru64
manager's list archives.
A similar compiler problem in scan_region for MySQL showed that changing
the optimization to -O0 would get it to compile.
Doing likewise for DestControl.c++ also worked here...
Now I'm stuck on a linker problem though :-(

Hi Lee,
I think I'm nearly there - however the next error looks more like a
compiler issue. Any ideas ?

Please try this patch against CVS.
Thanks.
