[hylafax-users] sendfax not working

sendfax -n -d 5551234 /etc/passwd
When entering the above line at the command prompt I get a message saying:

sendfax: error in loading share libraries: libfaxutil.so: can not open object share file: no such a file

What does this mean?
I installed Hylafax using the procedure recomended in the 'INSTALL' file.So, what's up here?

I am using Debian Linux on a Intel machine.
