The right way to do this is to run faxgetty, but with RingsBeforeAnswer 
set to 0.  There are a very limited number of reasons why faxmodem should 
be used in lieu of faxgetty.

This is insufficient unless you've used 'ModemReadyState:  D' to your 
config.
