It seems the man page is giving false informations... :( We should fix the 
code so that it does read the config file.

If you want to call faxcover directly, you can pass it the DateFormat on 
the command line with -D. If you are calling sendfax and have it generate 
a cover page, sendfax will read hyla.conf and pass the correct -D to 
faxcover (that's why I didn't realize that faxcover doesn't read the 
config file itself)
