[hylafax-users] Hylafax & mgetty (speed and proxyarp problem)
Hi. I've 2 problems so far, putting Hylafax and mgetty
together for faxing and dialin. I hope there's
someone who can help me :)
My first problem is that, once faxgetty received a
data connection, the speed will be 19200. I can't set
mgetty to renegotiate for a faster speed (such as
38400 or more).
Secondly, pppd's proxyarp doesn't work when faxgetty
is receiving the connection. Below is the log. This
does not happen however, when mgetty is listening
(i.e. mgetty is at /etc/inittab and so, no more
hylafax).
Apr 4 16:04:45 storm mgetty[1182]: data dev=ttyS1,
pid=1182, caller='none', conn='33600/V34/NONE',

Apr 4 16:04:50 storm pppd[1182]: remote IP address

Apr 4 16:05:47 storm pppd[1182]: LCP terminated by

Apr 4 16:05:50 storm pppd[1182]: Connection

Apr 4 16:05:50 storm pppd[1182]: Connect time 1.1

Apr 4 16:05:50 storm pppd[1182]: Sent 22387 bytes,
received 11795 bytes.
Apr 4 16:05:50 storm pppd[1182]: Exit.
Why does pppd cannot determine ethernet address for
proxy ARP? I've already tried to put the
<localip>:<remoteip> above proxyarp in the
/etc/options file, but to no avail.
Anyone can give me a clue?
