It is not, and nothing I said suggests that it is, nor that I think
that.  What I *said* was: if you're going to help, it's helpful to know
what you're talking about.  We don't expect the people *asking*
questions to be gurus.

Slightly higher expectations are -- and should be -- placed on those
providing answers.

Well, as it happens, I've been adminning and programming on Unix boxen
of various stripes for over 15 years, and quite a number of my clients
do in fact refer to me as a Unix guru.  I try not to make a big hairy
thing of it, in general...
