Re: [hylafax-users] hylafax and isdn

Hi,

I have the same card with me and trying deparately get it going for
HylaFax.. But still no luck.. I got the following mail from Melware people
who develop Linux Drivers for Eicon cards. It might give you an idea the
state of the drivers. I was able to get up to some extent but the behavior
of the ttyI driver with hylafax is very odd.

I'm stuck at the situation discribed in the follwing mail. Any comments are
greatly appriciated!

Best Regards,
Ruwan Jayanetti.

Hi,

there are no known problems related to our driver using fax-capabilities.

We have a lot of customers using various eicon cards w/o any difficulties
under
Linux as a Fax-Server.

Which driver for your eicon-card do you use ? In case of legacy eicon,
please
update to our latest release of DIVAS driver (www.melware.net for
details/dnl)

Obviously there seem to exist an CAPI2.0 adoption for Hylafax, which could
be
useful since the new DIVAS driver has full CAPI20 support, too.

For more details about configuring Hylafax, the Hylafax-peoples FAQ and
websites
may be helpful !

Best Regards

first communication with the sending fax machine, i.e. I can see the HylaFax

disconnects
and at the same time the Linux server get STUCK. (This should not happen to
a
Linux machine!) I think there is something major wrong with ISDN card
drivers.
