[hylafax-users] Problem with dialcom modem

Dear everyone,

I need some help before I commit suicide... I have a problem, and
it is really a pain in the neck. Everything works fine, I can send faxes,
I can adaptively answer to data and fax calls, I can communicate through
the interface, but fax reception does not work. I have a Dialcom modem,
with the following information:

ati6
RCV56DPF-PLL L8571A Rev 29.00/29.00
OK
ati4
DIALCOM 5614 MVA EXTMODEM V2.2 RWD 99.APR.
OK
ati3
V2.200-V90_2M_DLS
OK

It is based on a Rockwell chipset. If I setup it as a class2 modem, it
recognizes the chipset, and most of the things work properly, but not the
fax reception. When I send a fax to this modem, only the top 8-10 cms of
the sheets are visible. In the log file everything seems good:

Although the sent sheets are of size A4, in the log you can see that the
modem receives only 286 lines (which is approximately 8cm). If I send
multiple pages, I can see the top 8cm part of each sheets, but nothing
else. And there are no error messages either.

I found some instructions in the FAQ about squeezed pages, and some
possible solutions, but none of them was useful. The most annoying thing
is the following; under Win9x/NT the modem operates without problem. I
really don't know what to do, so I need someone expert's help.

Please, help me! Any little comments are welcome, maybe there is an
obvious solution.

Help me, please!!!

Thank you in advance.

Yours sincerely,
