Wow.  I know the Multitechs do CNID, but I forget if they know how to
do distinctive ringing.  I'm pretty sure the Zyxel, Courier, and maybe
some Rockwell/Conexant's do.

Wait one.

Yes.  A quick perusal of the PDF of the 5600ZDX manual says that it
*does* support distinctive ringing detection.

Yeah; we really need to update that list.

I've set up three or four commercial servers now; all with MultiTech
ZDX series modems; it's an Out-of-box experience.  All I ever had to do
was pick class 1 and make sure the dial string didn't have that pesky
'@'sign in it.  You're better off with the external, BTW, if you have
more than one modem and/or do other things with the box.
