Hy,

i got some Problems with HylaFax 4.0.2 (from the Debian Distribution).
When I try to send a fax from WinFlex to the HylaFax Server hfaxd
Interupts the connection writing the following to the logs:

----
Feb 22 17:12:53 poseidon HylaFAX[4813]: line "userID:wolfgang"
Feb 22 17:12:53 poseidon HylaFAX[4813]: HylaFAX OLD LOGIN FROM
	sputnik.limes.int [192.168.21.11], wolfgang
Feb 22 17:12:53 poseidon HylaFAX[4813]: line "checkPerm:send"
Feb 22 17:12:53 poseidon HylaFAX[4813]: Unable to open the user access
file /etc/hosts: Too many levels of symbolic links
Feb 22 17:12:53 poseidon HylaFAX[4813]: sputnik.limes.int (192.168.21.11):
	HylaFAX Old service refused
Feb 22 17:12:53 poseidon HylaFAX[4813]: error:Service refused; you do not
have permission to use the fax server from
	sputnik.limes.int (192.168.21.11).
---

Viewing faxstats just works fine..., sending Faxes with the new Protocol
too (also from remote hosts)...

When I do a telnet to port 4557 and type
userID:wolfgang
checkPerm:send

HylaFax closes the connection without saying any word and writes the above
logs to syslog...

hfaxd ist started with the options: "hfaxd -i 4559 -o 4557 -s 444"

What means the line with the "Unable to open the user access file..."?
Using the new Protocol works just fine without this message...

the hosts file looks like these:
----
localhost:21::
192.168.21\..*
.*\.limes\.int$
----

Can anybody help me please, i just need this one Windows Box ( :( )...

Bye
	Sascha
