[hylafax-users] Attachments From Netscape(OUTGOING)

Hi,

I looked at the information in the document you(Lee) provided me thanks a lots
for that.
Though i am still not sure as to what did u mean that u use printer-faxing is
it the one that hylafax support for samba printing or the one that the other
windows based softwares use?

Also after having a look at the faxmail and sendfax fights for sending the fax
in http://www.hylafax.org/man/faxmail.html i am even more confused as to what
shall i be usein.

In the above mentioned document though it says that a script called T/S has to
be present which acts as the converter or redirects the document as
postscript. What i am not able to find is what is the T/S script and where can
i find it.
Is this the script i get by using the Fxamailer thing u mentioned in ur mail.
I have ginen a part of the document which mentions the T/s scripts and also ur
mail that u sent me on my query.

Thanks again lee u were of great help.

Regards,
Manish.

executable script named T/S in the converter
hierarchy. If a script exists then it is run and the result is appended to the
output PostScript
document."

You mean as e-mail attachments? Yes, see:
http://www.hylafax.org/howto/faxing.html#ss5.4
both faxmail and procmail can process faxes by email attachment. I use the
procmail method, myself. But, I have a printer-faxing client that does all
of the work, and it sends the e-mail for me.

Well, the faxrcvd-mail options that are on the HOWTO are TIFF/PDF/PS and
not jpeg/pnm, but you've got the idea, and I suppose that they could be
changed to support jpeg/pnm if somebody was silly enough.

You want to fax an html document or jpeg/png pictures? Well, you need to
convert them somehow into a format that HylaFAX can utilize, like
PostScript. AFAIK, Ghostscript doesn't have html2ps, jpeg2ps, or png2ps -
and I can't say that I blame them. It wouldn't surprise me, though, if you
can find such things from some other place.

Lee.
