This is because the fax server uses the uid to set the gid too.
You probably have the uid of user uucp = the gid of the wheel.
If you had the uid of uucp = the gid of man you would see uucp.man.

But I was explained there's a reason for this.
However, I think it's very confusing.
It uses 60002 for the max gid, but in the man page of hosts.hfaxd it
talks about max uid being 6002.
