That's a feature (crashing) of many Windows service-programs. ;-)

HylaFAX is a fax server.  So, hopefully you realize that all of this table
and monitor process will need to be handled external to HylaFAX.

HylaFAX doesn't go out and grab things to fax unless you tell it to.  So,
you could set up a cron process that runs a script to do what you need.
But yes it is possible.  The fax status and other notification things are
good, flexible, and built-in to the HylaFAX package.

HylaFAX doesn't have html2ps.  Jan Kärrman has one that is linked on the
HylaFAX website.  I don't know how well it works.

Generally speaking, and if you follow the instructions properly, HylaFAX
shouldn't take a newbie more than a few hours of setup time including the
reading.  The kicker here is going to be all of the HylaFAX-external things
that you want to do.  All of it should be possible, assuming that you can
get those things to do what you want.
