[hylafax-users] Chase multiport modem and Hylafax...

Hi, I wonder if someone could possibly shed some light on a problem I'm
having setting up Hyalfax with a Chase PCI-RAS 4 port modem. I've installed
the modem and the driver modules, and got all the ports (ttyCH0 - 3)
responding correctly to cu.

Next I configured a faxgetty in /etc/inittab for the first port (ttyCH0)...

C0:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyCH0

setup the config.ttyCH0 file for Hylafax and tested it, everything was fine,
the modem port would dial out and send faxes with no problem.

Then I tried the same process for ttyCH1. This is where the problem occurs,
faxaddmodem can't communicate with the port, the faxgetty for CH1 is
configured as above in /etc/inittab, ps shows the following...

  PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND

  548 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/faxq
  550 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/hfaxd -i hylafax
  587 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyCH0
  629 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyCH1

I can still cu to ttyCH1 which is a bit weird. faxstat shows the
following...

HylaFAX scheduler on testbox-2: Running
Modem ttyCH0 (20381342): Running and idle
Modem ttyCH1 (20381291): Waiting for modem to come ready

Help! :) TIA for any advice.
