Re: [hylafax-users] Invalid compression type with kodak and wang imaging
Armands,
This is a cut&paste from various past responses to this problem. For group3,
use 1D files with wang/kodak OR convert files to group4, 2d for wang/kodak.

Solution #1 for g3 1D files:

Also, FWIW, I don't have *any* 'RecvDataFormat:' command specified in my
config.ttyS0 file and wang/kodak have not yet complained ever about any
images. Try taking it out and see if the problem remains.

Subject: [hylafax-users] Invalid compression type with kodak and wang
imaging
Hello Hylafax gurus!
I recently have completed installation of HylaFax server (hylafax-
4.1beta1-1rh6.i386.rpm) on my linux 6.1 box. Server is configured to
send incoming faxes to windows box as e-mail with .tif attachment.
Everything works fine except two things:
1) about 50% of faxes can't be viewed with kodak and wang imaging on
win boxes - kodak imaging says: "Invalid compression type",
wang: "The compression format in the specified file name is invalid
or not supported". At the same time IrfanView shows these files
without the problem.
I have these lines in my corresponding config.ttySX file:
Class2CQQueryCmd: "!(0),(0)"
RecvDataFormat: "2-D MMR"
IrfanView's info claims they both are group 3 files - those which can
be viewed and those which can't be viewed with kodak/wang imaging.
Modem is ZyXel Omni 0288S.
Maybe someone knows what's wrong?
2) these (but this is another story) "No response to EOP repeated 3
times"...
Armands
