[hylafax-users] solaris 8 (intel) and hylafax v4.0pl2

i have been trying to setup hylafax on an intel solaris box (cherry
install)
and have been getting compile errors along the lines of

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `SendFaxJob.o'
Current working directory /usr/local/hylafax-v4.0pl2/util
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `default'

i have gone thou the Makefile and the Makedepend files and havent been
able
to find a problem.

i have tried to compile the beta and the solaris tarball with similar
problems.
as anyone else been able to install on a solaris intel platform

it has to be solaris not linux

gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)

all of the files the were recquired to be installed ie tiff etc were
properly installed
from sun packages

any help would be eternally greatfull
