[hylafax-users] Re: Failed operation - permissions problem

Did you check this file:
    /var/spool/fax/etc/hosts
This is where hylafax maintains the permission. So if you want get anonymous
access on this machine you have to add this:
    127.0.0.1

Hope that works.
Andy

Subject: [hylafax-users] Failed operation - permissions problem

Dear All,

I have installed Hylafax 4.0 pl1 from the rpm on a RedHat 6.1 box.
Whenever I try to active the server, either through Sendfax or FTP, I get
the following message:

Trying localhost (127.0.0.1) at port 4559...
Connected to localhost.
420 localhost server cannot initialize: Could not create client/<number>:
Permission denied

What permissions are being referred to, and what value should they take?

Thanks in advance

Basil Fowler
