flexfax: Problems with the device

 I am using a Digi Card Acceleport Modem . It cretes devices as ttyG0_00 etc. My addfaxmodem program adds modem to the specified device and i am able to the faxq and hfaxd process . But whn i give the sendfax command as "sendfax -n -d -"phone number" -ps file " i get an error saying

The HylaFax software thinks  that there is a problem with the modem  on device  /dev/ttyG0/00 that needs attention ; repeted attempts to initialize the modem  have failed

What surprises me is that i specified the port or device where the modem wil be found as ttyG0_00 . but the error message says that it is trying to locate a modem at ttyG0/00 which is not at all available . I am totally surprised by the error . Pls suggest me the solution to this problem ASAP . I will appreciate your speedy reply .
I am using DIGI Acceleport RAS 8 as my Modem Card .I am running the application Hylafax on Linux 6.1 .
