i can ftp to hfaxd from the remote machine, get directory listings, download faxes, so everything works here. As i stated in my first mail, Netscape works too.
So it should be possible to get this working. I think the problem is Windows IP-Networking/WHFC. Netscape shows that it is possible to make this work. But i also heard the windows sockets api is "brain-dead" .

i don't think that the hylafax protocol is the problem. its similar to ftp. have you read rfc959 ? ;)
