I try to restart hylafax-processes ...

# /etc/init.d/hylafax stop
Stopping HylaFAX Servers.

# ps -aef | grep "fax"
		(no more processes running)

# /usr/local/HylaFAX-v4.0/sbin/faxq
# ps -aef | grep "fax"
		(faxq still not running?)

# /usr/local/HylaFAX-v4.0/slib/hfaxd -i hylafax -o 4557 -s 444
# ps -aef | grep "fax"
    uucp 6362 1 0 09:04:29 ? 0:00
/usr/local/HylaFAX-v4.0/slib/hfa
xd -i hylafax -o 4557 -s 444
		(hfaxd running!)

# l /usr/local/HylaFAX-v4.0/spool/FIFO*
prw------- 1 uucp uucp 0 Jan 31 09:03
/usr/local/HylaFAX-v4.0/sp
ool/FIFO
(FIFO has actual date & time!)

# /usr/local/HylaFAX-v4.0/sbin/faxmodem tty1A
FIFO: open: No such device or address
		(still the same old problem!)

I also ran "faxsetup", "faxaddmodem tty1A" and "probemodem tty1A"
without any problems!
The thing I still cannot understand is, that HylaFAX was running here
the last 3 years without any problem and I do not remember changing
anything!

Anyone got some more ideas? Any help would be appreciated!

best regards
