Thanks to all who gave me a helping hand with hints and patches.
Sorry, but nothing brought the solution.

I'm currently under heavy load and I don't have the time to browse through
the source code to find the bugs. So I'm fed with the buggy SMS in hylafax.
I've now installed sms_client from http://www.styx.demon.co.uk/ and it works
fine with D2. No problems at all.
