SuSE 6.2 Hylafax SuSEfax - Help!
Hello,
I am looking for help or a clue as to what to do to get a fax sent from my laptop. I am
a new convert to Linux, and have installed SuSE 6.2 on my Winbook XL . Even have fishes
swimming around on my screen. But I can't shoot out a fax:-( Can someone
please help. I am an American in Moscow, Russia, so my resources are somewhat
limited. I installed hylafax and all the packages it needed to run, and
susefax and all the packages it needed to run as well. I have read the manuals
and SuSE's help documents on their site. I've searched deja, and found this
thread. I use a Linksys PCMCIA combo card 10/100 + 56 K. It seems to me that
I am not getting much feedback from SuSEfax, or I just don't know how to obtain
the feedback to figure out what is wrong. I deleted the contents of the
/var/log/sendfax.log, shutdown the computer, rebooted, tried to send a fax in
KDE using SuSEFAX. Nothing was written to the sendfax.log
*******I tried Poll Fax and tried Send Fax. This is what Get Status shows:

7 /usr/home/george/Off root 232-9274 0:12
****** In "HylaFax Server State" window, I see:

I followed the directions in the SuSE 6.2 manual for the Hylafax
configuration.
Here is some info. I tried to find everything I could. The
more the better I figured.
