Check the config file again, especially that part about "you _MUST_ use
a tab, not spaces, between the fields".  Syslog is sending those
messages to your text console, presumably because it thinks it's been
told to -- I don't think it's the default target.

And, _please_, convince your mail program to hard-wrap at 72
characters?
