Transmission error

Subject: flexfax: Transmission error

When I attempt to send a fax, I always
receive the following error:

sendfax: FAILED to transmit '/apps/hylafax/test.g3'.
Transmission error: +FHNG:54 (No response to EOP repeated 3 times) 

Any ideas what might be causing this?
