reinstalling

I accidently made the phonebook part of SuSEFAX a stand alone
application. I want to reverse that. The only way I know how is to
reinstall. Now I have faxes saved in the archive and recvq files that I
do not want to lose. Can I move all /archive and /recvq files to say a
/tmp file then move them back after the reinstall?
