What options are you giving to sendfax? Don't forget that

sendfax -c "some comments" -d <number>

is not the same as

sendfax -d <number> -c "some comments"

Once sendfax gets the '-d' it uses all the options up until that point,
then continues on. This allows you to give different stuff to different
faxes.
