Setting page margins for faxes

Hi!

I've installed Hylafax 4.0pl1 on a LINUX platform from source (Linux
2.0.30, Redhat distribution) with gcc from this Linux distribution and
I'm using Suprafax 33.3 Modems with up-to-date firmware (don't know
actual firmware now, have to admit). My problem is that for every fax
I send (don't matter onto which fax-machine) about 1mm of the
lefthand-side is cut off (so the first character is unreadable). So all
I want to know (and I couldn't find out by my own and by reading the
FAQs) is how can I set the left margin on faxes??? I changed the paper
size default already to A4 in the pagesize file for hfaxd, I also tried
to change the values for "left" and "width" there, but the result always
looks the same: The lefthand-side of the fax is truncated by about 1mm,
the whitespace from the left is about 5mm and all I want to do is to
change the left margin so that the first character on every line is
completely readable and not cut-off in the middle. Could this be a
problem of the Ghostscript (Aladdin) Text-to-PS conversion? Do I have to
edit somewhere else how my fax is to be printed on a A4 sheet (so
width/height, top margin, left margin)???

Everything (including the PERL Email-To-Fax Gateway) works great, I just
can't get cat the page layout dimensions right. Pleas give me advice.

Kind regards, Joerg Schwemmlein
