Umm. I think this is the regex.h incompatibility bug. Namely, that the
configure script goes looking in ./regex for regex.h and the defs.in
file uses /usr/include first.

I've got a stack of patches for RedHat Linux, which I've also tested
under SunOS, at http://cirl.meei.harvard.edu/~raoul/patches/
You might try the hylafax-regex.patch, and let me know.

I've modified them very slightly in the last day, and am posting them
for publication on the web server for those who desire them.
