Fax Classes

I'm using a USR Sportster

The origianal config for that modem is set to use Class 2.0 and
it didn't work. Others have mentioned using Class 1 and it seems
to work fine so far, but there's also references to using Class 2

With the 3 Classes (Class1, Class2, Class2.0) has anyone tried using the
sportster with Class2? If so what changes did you have to make and how
well does the modem under that configuration work?
