printing of fax from faxrcvd

hi!

i have HylaFAX 4 with sunsparc20 under solaris 2.4

i tried to modify the faxrcvd in the following manner:

original: $FAX2PS $FILE 2>/dev/null
modified: $FAX2PS $FILE | lp

where $FAX2PS has been initialized like that:
FAX2PS=/opt/local/tiff/bin/fax2ps  (the real path)

it doesnt work though  :-(

any advise? :)
