Modem connect but hangup after handshakeing

Hi, I'm work on a RedHat 4.2 Linux on a PC. The version of the HylaFax is
4.0 pl1
My fax is a Cardinal 28.8 V.34/V.FC.
The software recognize it like a ROXKWELL RC288DPi-based Class 2 Modem,
firmware rev V1.100K-V34_DS ^_^
