HylaFAX-v4.0pl1 and Sun-Sparc-Solaris 2.5.1

Hi all!

I have great problems to install HylaFAX on one of my companies
Sun-Sparcstations.
Well, in fact the compilation and the installation did not seem to be
problem.
After some work hfaxd, faxq and faxgetty were running. 'faxstat -s' and
'faxstat -v' also worked. But as I tried to send a fax the system
core-dumped. 
Rebooting was not possible, because /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow,
/etc/inittab were 
screwed up. 

I have tried it once again and the same thing happened. We have NIS+
running on 
our network (perhaps that's why the passwd was damaged).



ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!!!
