Problem sending postscript-attachment via mail using faxmail

Hello,

I experience a strange behaviour of faxmail run in delivery mode (4.0pl1, Sun
Solaris 2.51) sending a mime mail (Type application/postscript). The mail
contains a postscriptfile that covers excacly one DIN A4 page. The header of the
mail containing the attachment looks like this:

>From krienke Tue Feb 11 13:27:31 1997
To: krienke@495.fax
Subject: test
X-fax-PageHeaders: No
X-fax-AutoCoverPage: Yes
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: application/postscript; name=1.ps
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Content-MD5: nIWyNfHLDDCnYKkGy0jOrQ==
Content-Description: 1.ps
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=1.ps
X-Sun-Data-Type: postscript-file

%!PS-Adobe-2.0
% The attachment PS file ...
.....

There are two problems: the first is, that the fax received contains no
coverpage although the header contains a "X-fax-AutoCoverPager: Yes" line.
Instead of the cover-page there appears a page-Heade and this although there is
a second X-fax-line in the header telling faxmail not to generate a page header.

The second problem is that the Postscript attachment is scaled down and put in
the lower left corner of the faxpage in a size of about 1x1cm. I found that this
happens because textfmt (actually faxmail) adds a PS-prologue in which a line
like.

0.05 dup scale

occurs. This line causes all output to be scaled to 1/20 of the natural size.
Since a postscript attachment is simly copied through, this scaling applies also
to the PS file contained in the attachment that expects the default scaling.

Does anyone know about this problem and does perhaps anyone have a fix to these
bugs ?

Thanks a lot
Rainer
